Prior to some recent refurbishments at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Durkin was engaged to carry out a comprehensive CCTV survey of the existing pipes to assess their condition and plan the next stage of the project.

From the early days of working on infrastructure projects in the Philippines to the recent light rail projects in Sydney and Parramatta, we have been on the job of some of the most iconic sites in Australia like the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Anzac Bridge.

Happy birthday to us! Today marks 20 years of Durkin Construction and we're feeling pretty chuffed about it. Our courageous leaders, Sean and Jane Durkin, established the company on 1 May 2003, and let us tell you, it has been one heck of a journey!

The Northern Beaches B-Line project implemented by Transport for NSW saw the creation of a high-frequency bus service connecting the Northern Beaches to the Sydney CBD, providing a faster and more reliable public transport option for commuters.

In February 2017, Sydney experienced a major storm incident, which saw a month’s worth of rain (nearly 50mm) fall in just one hour. This resulted in flash flooding and extensive damage across the city.

To assist the University of Sydney with the planning and construction of new laboratories, Durkin conducted a Utility Drainage and Topography Survey, concurrently with the LIDAR scans on the existing building.

Despite a range of challenges including COVID restrictions on our Paddington heritage site project, we delivered outputs earlier than expected, within budget, and made a bonus discovery to benefit the client.
